Earl Grey : The World’s First Darjeeling Earl Grey

Earl Grey : The World’s First Darjeeling Earl Grey
Description
Earl Grey is an artificially flavoured tea. The man made flavour (Bergamot flavour) is generally added to black tea of low distinction. At Aap ki Pasand, we reinvented the old English Aristocracy’s recipe. We used an expensive Darjeeling black tea as a base which has the typical characteristic flavour of Darjeeling. The addition of Bergamot flavor, was perfectly impart a flowery/ lemony character in a balanced amount. Our selection is one of its own kind.

This type of tea is the world’s only blend of Darjeeling leaves with a hint of Bergamot. Imperial Earl Grey of Darjeeling is extraordinary earl grey tea sold in many stores. This tea with Bergamot Flavourwas drunk by the royalties of India, who regarded this blend of Bergamot as the most expensive tea of the world. We discovered this old blend recipe in the diary of an English Tea Taster. Now, we have brought it to you by the English Tea Master, Sanjay Kapur.

 How To Make
  1. To make the tea properly , the teapot should first be warmed with boiling water. This water is then poured away. Boil the water in a electric heater and pour out roiling water into the pot.
  2. Use half teaspoonful of tea for each cup. An extra quantity in hard water.
  3. The tea leaves are put into the pot, fresh boiling water is poured over and a tea cosy paced over the pot.
  4. The tea pot should be allowed to stand for a few minutes ( this is called infusing) before the tea is poured out. Generally a five minute infusion makes a good cup. This is not an unalterable rule since some tea connoisseurs enjoy a three minutes wait. In hard water a longer infusion time helps flavours to emerge out better. In soft water, tea infuses much quicker. The so called mineral still water is better for Darjeeling and does not benefit Assam Teas. In this blend also , you may enjoy a smother cup in still mineral water.
  5. Please use a tea cosy cover to keep the pot warm while you wait.
  6. The infusion could be poured through a strainer into a cup, although tea leaves are quite harmless if left unstrained. The remaining tea infusion left in the tea pot may turn bitter in taste after six or seven minutes. If that happens , please use milk in the tea to round it off. Sugar is optional as in the case of other teas.
