The Nilgiri Milk Tea is a refined black tea grown in the Blue Mountains of Southern India, a region named after the bluish blooms of the Kurinji shrubs. Rising to altitudes of over 8,500 feet, the Nilgiris are renowned for producing teas with a light floral edge, fresh citrus aroma, and a pronounced lemony-fruity flavour.
This unique selection, with its small leaf appearance and crisp, refreshing character, bears resemblance to the teas of Sri Lanka’s famous Uva district. Its brightness and citrusy profile make it especially enjoyable with milk, creating a smooth, balanced, and flavourful cup.
Steeped in history, Nilgiri tea dates back to the early 19th century when Assistant Surgeon Christie proposed planting Chinese tea plants in the region. With the support of Lord Bentinck of the East India Company and the work of French botanist M. Perrottet, the Nilgiri tea industry flourished by 1839, offering the world its distinctively elegant teas.

In case the delivery address is a remote location (based on DHL delivery protocols), an additional charge of USD 30 will be applicable for delivery & this will be notified to the customer prior to dispatch.
