The Grand Cru President's Tea of Darjeeling – Autumnal Harvest is a rare and limited edition tea, personally selected by celebrated Master Tea Taster Sanjay Kapur.

Year after year, this prized Darjeeling has been presented as a state gift of India by the country's highest officials, symbolising heritage and prestige.

As the cool weather sets in during November, the tea bushes slow their growth, allowing the leaves to develop a richer body and an assertively floral profile. This autumnal flush is distinguished by its marigold flower fragrance, golden liquor, and smooth finish — offering connoisseurs a unique expression, distinct from the fresh vegetal notes of the spring First Flush.

Packed fresh within weeks of harvest, this Grand Cru captures the essence of Darjeeling terroir in its finest autumnal form.

Why Is This Tea Called "President's Tea"?

President's Tea of Darjeeling has earned its name through a long-standing tradition: this Grand Cru selection is presented year after year as a state gift of India by the nation's highest officials, a mark of the prestige and quality behind every batch our Master Tea Taster selects.

What Makes the Autumnal Harvest Different from First and Second Flush?

As cooler November weather slows the tea bushes' growth, the leaves develop a fuller body and a distinctive marigold-like floral fragrance, along with a golden liquor and smooth finish. This sets it apart from the fresh, vegetal First Flush and the Muscatel-rich Second Flush, offering connoisseurs a rarer, more autumnal expression of Darjeeling terroir.
